Image
Choosing a UX Based Concept for your CMS Section A: What we'll build I will be creating a travel website with information and tours that you can book in Budapest, Hungary. I want to create this website because I love travel and have been to Budapest many times so I feel a website where you can easily see and book tours would be useful. For UX design I will be including a lot of visually appealing photos to make the website a nice experience for the user, I will also be using a word count limiter in the comment section. I will also be using plugins to make sure the site runs fastly for optimal usage.  https://www.youcouldtravel.com/travel-blog/3-days-in-budapest  https://www.saltinourhair.com/hungary/budapest/ Section B: Why Build it? I want to build this website to make it a lot easier and quicker for users to be able to book and find tours in Budapest. I want it to be fast and easy to use whilst also be visually appealing so that users can enjoy their experience on the website. I

User Experience (UX) Explained for Best Practice Website Creation

Image
User Experience (UX) in definition is the emotions and feelings a user conveys with a company and its various websites, apps and product over a period of time, UX is not only designing to make something easy to use but also designing other experiences related to the product such as marketing, packaging and after sales support. UX design is the process of coming up with solutions to problems in usage, without this nobody would use the product as it would serve no purpose.     “No product is an island. A product is more than the product. It is a cohesive, integrated set of experiences. Think through all of the stages of a product or service – from initial intentions through final reflections, from the first usage to help, service, and maintenance. Make them all work together seamlessly.” -  Don Norman, inventor of the term “User Experience.” There is no single definition of a good user experience, with a well-designed product that has a great user experience such as apple, these produc

Project Process 02

starting screen It is the final week and I have completed my game! my game is called 'Avoid It!' and it is a 2D game.  In this game you have the player and obstacles they have to avoid. You use the 'W' and 'S' keys to move the player up and down to avoid the obstacles.  The obstacles spawn randomly at different time intervals. Once you hit an obstacle the game ends and you have the option to restart. There is also a score manager at the top of the screen that goes up every second you stay alive to keep track of your score, which I thought was a nice touch to the game. Finally I also added background music to the game to add a nice atmosphere and I think that this really adds to the game. Overall I enjoyed creating my game, it was definitely challenging and time consuming but in the end it was very rewarding! I definitely preffered creating 2D games this semester than 3D games. I used a variety of different scripts in my game to add different things. a link to

Week 6 - Brainstorming my project idea: This week we have to begin researching and brainstorming our game. I want to make a 2D game with a very pixel look to it. I found this useful video with lots of resources and tips on YouTube :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on9nwbZngyw  .  after doing some brainstorming and thinking I decided I wanted to create an endless runner type of game similar to the style of super Mario bros. The character would have to jump over and under different objects that get in the way whilst running to get to the end. I feel this game idea would be fun to make and also not too challenging. there are a lot of really useful tutorials and helpful videos on YouTube to watch for inspiration and guidance. I am excited to further develop this idea and create my game in the upcoming weeks.  link

Reading 06

For this weeks reading task, we finally begin to write our chapter of the book. We are to take our five chosen themes from last week and begin to write around 4-6 paragraphs of at least 5 sentences. Ensuring that each paragraph has an intro sentence, 2-4 sentences, one supporting sentence, and a conclusion sentence.  We were also tasked with watching a video "Writing skills: The Paragraph." which essentially teaches us the skills of writing a paragraph. This video was super helpful in explaining how to do so. Sometimes the most simple things, such as writing a paragraph can be super confusing and complicated, especially when you haven't wrote academic pieces in a few years, so this video was a great refresher. link After I finished the video I got started on writing my paragraphs, I found this quite difficult as writing is definitely not one of my favourite things and something I've always disliked through education, but as I feel i'm passionate about my chosen t
