Project Progress 01

Week 6 - Brainstorming my project idea: This week we have to begin researching and brainstorming our game. I want to make a 2D game with a very pixel look to it. I found this useful video with lots of resources and tips on YouTube :  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=on9nwbZngyw  .  after doing some brainstorming and thinking I decided I wanted to create an endless runner type of game similar to the style of super Mario bros. The character would have to jump over and under different objects that get in the way whilst running to get to the end. I feel this game idea would be fun to make and also not too challenging. there are a lot of really useful tutorials and helpful videos on YouTube to watch for inspiration and guidance. I am excited to further develop this idea and create my game in the upcoming weeks.  link

For this weeks reading task, we finally begin to write our chapter of the book. We are to take our five chosen themes from last week and begin to write around 4-6 paragraphs of at least 5 sentences. Ensuring that each paragraph has an intro sentence, 2-4 sentences, one supporting sentence, and a conclusion sentence.  We were also tasked with watching a video "Writing skills: The Paragraph." which essentially teaches us the skills of writing a paragraph.  For this weeks reading tasks we are tasked with beginning to code our resources and also we have to follow a certain process to choose five themes. We are given text and a video to watch on the topic. I decided to briefly read through the text, but as I didn't really understand this I followed up by watching the video.  video: link After watching the video it definitely cleared up some questions but honestly it was still very confusing to understand. Im not sure if this process is well suited in the way I like to learn and organise but I decided to give it a go anyways. It did seem to get easier as I went on.  I have researched an annotated plenty of resources that I will be using now. Which I am happy with. Im not sure if I will use this method again but everything is a learning trial at the end of the day.  I've been using google scholar each week to further research my topic and create a list of useful articles that I can use for my chosen topic.
